Applications are now open for the prestigious 2025 Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Programme. The Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Fund, in collaboration with KPMG, Andersen, and Leadway Assurance Company Limited, is pleased to invite qualified candidates to apply for this transformative opportunity.

The scholarship is established in memory of Seyi Bickersteth, a distinguished leader and mentor who made remarkable contributions to the corporate world. Seyi Bickersteth served as the Senior Partner of KPMG Nigeria from 2002 to 2016, and as Chairman of KPMG Africa from 2014 to 2016. Following his illustrious career at KPMG, he continued to make an impact as the Regional Managing Partner and Chairman of Andersen Africa and as a board member of prominent organizations, including Leadway Assurance.

More than a corporate leader, Seyi Bickersteth was a visionary mentor, educator, and advocate for personal and professional development. His unwavering commitment to fostering growth and excellence in others inspired the establishment of this educational fund in his honour.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Programme 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Provisional Admission: Applicants must have provisional admission to a Federal University in Nigeria for any of the following courses: Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Actuarial Science, Insurance, Finance, or other closely related disciplines.

  • UTME Score: A minimum score of 230 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is required to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • WASSCE Results: Applicants must have at least 5 distinctions (A1 or B2) in their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), including English Language and Mathematics.

  • Current Enrollment: Applicants must be in their first year (100 level) of study at the time of application.
